Brian Casey
To see Brian Casey unfold his 6'2" athletic frame from his Mini Cooper, it is not hard to imagine that he relishes a challenge. In 1988 after training for eight months, he successfully scaled Mt. McKinley, the highest peak in North America, in 15 days. Whether mountain climbing, competing in beach volleyball, or preparing a brief for the Supreme Court, Casey likes to push limits.
Preparation for a demanding situation whether physical or mental, is something that requires Casey’s disciplined approach. “Every case,” he says “tells a different story about an important event in a person’s or company’s life. The opportunity to learn about a client’s occupation, the equipment used, the concepts of the profession,” is a project he takes on with enthusiasm. “I would not get the chance to learn these things in any other profession,” he says.
His practice includes representation of businesses, individuals, insurers and government officials in civil litigation in state and federal courts. Representation of clients in professional liability and malpractice claims, premises and products liability, insurance coverage, civil rights and constitutional claims, wrongful discharge, harassment and employment claims, and personal injury cases have given him the opening to learn a great deal about other vocations. His expertise in defending real estate agents and mortgage brokers is an advantage in the current economic situation.
Married to his wife Julianne for 11 years, they have three children ages 8, 5, and 2. It’s not really a challenge to get the two school age children in the Mini Cooper for their ride to school in the morning. The real challenge is when his 90 pound Bernese Mountain Dog wants to go for a ride. His next challenge? — There will always be more mountains to climb.
