Estates & Trusts

The use of Wills and Trusts is often necessary to preserve and transfer an individual’s assets. Our estate planning attorneys have substantial experience in drafting and administrating Wills and Trusts. Healthcare Power of Attorney

This is a document valid in most states which allows you, while you are competent, to choose someone you trust and love to make a medical decision on your behalf. This is usually in place when you are incapable of making your own decisions, such as during surgery or unconscious from an accident. This document permits someone you trust to make the same medical decisions you would if you were capable.

Living Will

A Living Will is a document in which your wishes concerning the continuation or removal of medical treatment in certain conditions. These conditions are usually after you have been fully examined by more than one physician and they determine to a medical certainty that you are either permanently unconscious or you have a terminal condition where death will occur in a short period. This document will allow you to make the decision about your life, rather than requiring loved ones to determine the decision at a time when they will be upset and emotional.

Power of Attorney

A Power of Attorney is a written document stating that one person gives another person complete control and authority to represent him or her. Typically, the document is signed by both parties.
